Headcount questions take a week

A headcount cut by team, level, or location from Workday or Rippling means a spreadsheet export and a week of cleanup.

The hiring funnel lives in five tools

Greenhouse holds candidates, Rippling holds hires, payroll holds costs, and a clean view across them is a multi-hour project.

Onboarding still happens in spreadsheets

Without engineering time, every new-hire checklist ends up in a Google Sheet nobody updates after the first month.

What Runtime gives people and HR teams

Connects to your HRIS and payroll

Plug into Rippling, Gusto, Workday, and Deel, and the agent answers across headcount, comp, payroll, and hiring in one conversation.

Plain-English questions about people data

Headcount by team, average tenure by department, or open reqs by location come back with the answer and source rows behind them.

Build onboarding portals on demand

Ask for a self-service portal for new hire equipment or a manager dashboard for performance cycles, and the agent ships it as an internal tool.

Scoped access for people-team data

Compensation, performance, and PII stay locked to the people-team agent, and other Runtime users cannot see anything inside that scope.

PII masking by default

Sensitive fields like salary, SSNs, and bank details are masked at the source unless you explicitly unmask them.

Audit log of every query

Every prompt, query, and response is logged with the teammate and timestamp, exportable for SOC 2 and HIPAA review.

Question to dashboard.

01

Head of People asks in Slack. @runtime pull engineering headcount by level and average tenure, split by US and EMEA.

02

Agent queries Rippling. Agent pulls active engineers from Rippling and groups them by level and region.

03

Reply with the answer and the trail. Agent returns a clean table with the source rows and a saved dashboard for next quarter.

Frequently asked questions

Who can see the people agent's data?
Only the people team members you allow into the agent scope. Prompts, replies, and underlying queries stay locked to that team and never leak into the rest of the org.
Will the agent expose salary or PII to the rest of the org?
No. Sensitive fields are masked at the source by default, and you control which teammates can unmask them. Other Runtime users in your org cannot see anything inside the people scope.
Does the agent need a custom integration for our HRIS?
Runtime supports Rippling, Gusto, Workday, and Deel out of the box. For other HRIS or ATS systems, the agent can read from your warehouse or query their APIs directly.
Can the agent change records in our HRIS?
Only if you allow it. Read actions run on demand. Any write goes through an approval step before it executes against a live system.
How do we keep an audit trail for compliance?
Every prompt, query, response, and write is logged with the teammate and the timestamp. The activity history is exportable for SOC 2, HIPAA, and internal review.
How is this different from a people analytics tool?
People analytics tools answer the questions someone already configured. Runtime answers the unique question a People leader just asked, ships a small dashboard if it becomes a pattern, and can build onboarding tools on demand.
